CASE EXAMPLES:
Our philosophy is based around - life isn’t like a switch that you can turn on and off! When life is switched off, it’s gone for good
and that sadly, every year many people die for want of First Aid.
This was never more aptly reminded than recently when a member of the general public collapsed and an off duty South Australian Metropolitan Fire Services officer was present. The officer had recent exposure to an A.E.D. (defibrillator) during a Senior First Aid Course (conducted by Bryan Pittavino of Mediaide Emergency Training) enabling him to use the equipment available with confidence and subsequently save a life.
News Flash!
“Small defibrillators, usually available only at hospitals and in ambulances, will be placed at locations around Adelaide from today.
With a death rate of up to 95% for people who suffer cardiac arrest, the defibrillators will help workers and members of the public
to act before and ambulance arrives.”
